The Golfers Club @ T&C
The Golfers Club @ T&C is a golfing club that conducts reguarly scheduled golf outings at the Town & Country golf course throughout the golfing season. The club is open to both males and females. We are also a golfing organization that sponsors junior golf and an annual scholarship award for a deserving area youth.

The following is a description of Events The Golfers Club @ T&C offers.
1. Player of the Year All members of the club are eligible to win. Points are awarded for participation in events as well as bonus point for placing in club events. Medal Play, Match Play and Spanferkel (our Majors) are all worth double points. At the end of the season, the player with the most points will be crowned Player of the Year. That Individual will earn a crystal trophy and a $200 gift certificate. Second and Third places in the standings will also earn gift certificate prizes.
2. Medal Play (Club Championship) This is a 36 hole stroke play event with competitors placed into one of four flights based on handicap (USGA). Over $600 in prizes is awarded at the end of the event. All winners will be recognized at the end of year Awards Banquet.
3. Match Play All entrants are placed into one of four flights based on handicap (USGA). Once placed into appropriate flight, brackets will be posted and play may begin. Play is head to head against a player of similar ability in an 18 hole match. The winner will advance to the next round until a champion is crowned. There will be $600 in prizes awarded at the end of the event. All winners will be recognized at the end of year Awards Banquet.
4. Spanferkel Tournament This annual event is open to foursomes. Events include individual and team prizes. There is a traveling trohpy presented to the low gross individual champion. Over $1500 in prizes is awarded at the end of the event. This is the clubs main fundraiser. Monies raised are used to run a Free Junior Golf Clinic and sponsor Junior Spanferkel ( a Jr. Golf Tournament) at Town & Country Golf Course. Funds are also used to present a scholarship to a local high school senior.
5. Mexican Best Ball & End of Year Scramble Teams of four players will be evenly grouped together by the tournament committees. Both events are a scramble format where all four players will hit from each location selection the best shot and repeating the process until the ball is holed out. Over $400 in prizes will be awarded at the end of each event. The Mexican Best Ball will also include a Mexican Buffet after golf.
6. T&C Cup This is a Ryder Cup Style format where a randomly chosen 12 member team of club members (who get to use their handicap) will compete against a 4 member team from the Pro Shop. Members chosen to play will need to play one of the first three dates and all must play on the final day. Events include a 2-person best ball, 2-person scramble and a 2-person alternate shot. The final day will be singles matches. A traveling trophy will be presented at the end of the event.
7. Club Member/ Guest Each club member is encouraged to bring a friend who is not a member of the club to participate in this fun event. The club member and guest will compete as a 2 -person team with handicap in two separate 9 hole events. The first nine holes will be played as a best ball and the second nine will be played as a scramble. Over $400 in prizes will be awarded at the end of the event.
8. Six-Six-Six Event Teams of two players will be evenly grouped together by the tournament committee. This handicapped event is three events in one. The first six holes are played as a 2-person best ball, the second six as a 2-person scramble and the final six as a 2-person alternate shot. Prizes will be awarded in each six hole event as well as overall champions. Over $400 in prizes will be awarded.
9. Scotch Couples Events This is a 9 hole social event where a member golfs with their spouse or significant other. Normally, there are two of these events scheduled each season. At the conclusion of each event there is a dinner and some prizes awarded.
10. Road Trip Each year the club schedules a golf outing at another golf course, typically out of town. This is a handicapped stroke play event with a skins game. Over $200 in prizes are awarded at the end of the event.
11. Hole in One Club Each member is eligible to join this special event for an additional fee of $30. One half of the fee is used to defray the cost of the Hole in One Banquet. The other half of the fee is used to award participants with cash prizes for getting holes in one.
12. Awards Banquet This is an end of year social event beginning with a cocktail social hour, followed by dinner and the presentation of the years awards. Spouses and significant others are welcome to attend. The club contributes $350 to the cost of this event to offset each members dinner.
